GIS4U

GIS4U is a framework oriented to the production of georeferenced indicators and the creation of forms/themes, developed within the scope of an R&D project, co-financed by European funds, which allows adding the management of the geographical feature, present in most of the data that circulate in organizations.

What is GIS4U ?

It is a WebSiG platform for generating decision support indicators, which incorporates a forms/ page generator, focused on the treatment of georeferenced information.

It was developed as part of an R&D project, co-financed by European funds, which allows adding the management of the geographical feature, present in most of the data circulating in organizations.

It can be used both as advanced users and by end users, without computer skills.

Main Feartures

  • Use of any type of basic cartography, namely: Google, Bing, Open Street Map, MapQuest, ArcGIS Services..
  • It offers a web services oriented framework, which allows easy integration of its specific functionalities with other systems.
  • Dynamic creation of portals in the back-office..
  • Dynamic creation of registration forms (themes) and information search on each portal.
  • Viewing records in list and on the map.

 

Mobile

  • It allows to define registration form for smartphoneswhere it is possible to register georeferenced information.
  • Support for offline work.

 

Information Sharing

  • Visualization of external information through Web Map Service (WMS) .
  • Exposure of each portal's records to the outside through the dynamic creation of WMS services in the back-office. back-office..
  • File association: allows to associate files of any type, to any record (e.g. word documents, images, videos, etc.).
  • It allows the association of records between several themes.

Indicators Indicators

  • Dynamic creation and configuration of Indicators for each theme.
  • Exploration of indicators on the map on the form of Clusters and Color Class Maps.
